Touring Guide

The following touring guides are extracted from a booklet entitled "From Nairn To Loch Ness" by the late Edward Meldrum who lived latterly at Dunlichity, Strathnairn. The booklet was written during the 1970's and may appear in some cases to be slightly out of date due to changes in the geography of the area following construction of the new A9 dual carriageway, afforestation and other recent developments. These guides, however, should prove invaluable to the walker, cyclist and motorist who wishes to learn more about the rich and diverse history and heritage of Strathnairn and adjacent areas as they explore this part of the Scottish Highlands. We are indebted to Mr Meldrum's widow, Ruth, for kindly allowing us to use these chapters in this web site.
